Aviv Kosloff is a director of music videos and commercials living and working in Berlin.
Aviv begins each production with a fresh batch of ideas and enthusiasm. Throughout his work, the focus is on creating new and unique visual worlds, through building a vocabulary of images specific to each project.
With a practical approach to on-set and post-production techniques, as well as an innovative eye to film-making (which has seen him invent new techniques as necessary - "To See the Light", the music video for Israeli singer Efrat Gosh), Aviv creates imagery that is at once glossy, filmic and beautiful.
Before coming to Germany in 2009, Aviv directed 11 music videos in Israel. Starting out with independent projects, the quality of his work drew the attention of major Israeli record labels, resulting in opportunities to work with some of Israel's top musicians (Avishai Cohen, Keren Peles). Aviv has many years experience delivering quality work on time, with diverse budgets.
Aviv has a BFA in film-making from Tel Aviv University, majoring in cinematography. His early work includes cinematography for several award-winning short films, including:
“Grown Up” - selected for and premiered at the Berlinale, prizes from Australia, Poland and the UK.
“Zohar” - selected for and premiered at Locarno film festival, prizes from Austria, Israel, Italy and more.
“Silence” - premiered in Cannes film festival, prize from Belarus
